well, your front mount intercooler example falls into the category that I already addressed as a "problem with the car that needs to be figured out."If you built your car right (either with side mount intercoolers or a fascia that would allow enough airflow for the entire front mount intercooler), you wouldn't have had that problem and therefore, your balance tube wouldn't have helped as it did. If you had a power delivery problem because your front mount wasn't getting proper airflow, and your balance tube fixed it, then the problem was not with airflow on the right and left banks, it was with airflow to your front mount intercooler, and that's what should've been addressed. By installing your balance tube, you simply went around the problem, rather than properly addressing it by increasing airflow to your intercooler.
